Which Camry to look for
- 2018–2024 (8th generation): L, LE, SE, XLE, XSE and, from 2020, the sporty TRD. A four-cylinder is standard; XLE, XSE and TRD were available with a V6. AWD was offered from 2020 on some trims.
- Camry Hybrid: LE, SE, XLE and XSE. Excellent fuel economy and strong resale.
- 2025 and later: a new generation that's hybrid-only, priced higher.
Where Camry buyers overpay
- SE versus XSE, LE versus XLE. One letter makes a big price difference. Check the trim with a VIN lookup before you compare.
- V6 versus four-cylinder. V6 cars cost more. Compare like with like.
- Hybrid premium. Compare hybrids only with hybrids.
- Rideshare miles. Camrys are popular with rideshare drivers. High miles should mean a lower price.
