Which Rogue to look for
- 2014–2020 (2nd generation): S, SV and SL.
- 2021 and later (3rd generation): much nicer inside, with S, SV, SL and Platinum. From 2022 it uses a 1.5 turbo three-cylinder.
- SV is the most common trim and the easiest to compare.
Where Rogue buyers overpay
- Rogue versus Rogue Sport. The Rogue Sport is a smaller, different SUV that costs less. Listings sometimes just say "Rogue." Check the VIN.
- Rental history. Many used Rogues were rentals. The price should reflect that; check the history report.
- The CVT. Rogues use a CVT automatic. Ask for service records, and consider an extended warranty quote when comparing.
